Inventory Update March 24

If it weren't for the circumstances it would be a beautiful morning. The sun is out, it's dry and we are very much open for business.

Every morning we have been delivering wine to those that want it. During the day we have been carrying out curb-side delivery. Every 30 minutes we are sanitizing the counter, the card processor and anything else I can find to spray a little disinfection on!

I have updated the store hours though - to be a little more compatible with my own 'home-life'. The store is now open from 10-6 Monday through Saturday.

Today I have about 50 cases coming in. Replenishing old favorites - Villa Dugo Pinot Grigio ($15), Les Gravieres de Brandille - that great Bordeaux at $15. More Domaine Madone Picpoul, because summer is just around the corner. Cases of Blue Quail Chardonnay, Da Mar Prosecco (the less expensive one). Also, more Bocking Riesling and Pinot Blanc. More and more rosés from $13-$20. And more of this wine, that I took home the other night and crushed! Livio Sassetti Montecucco Rosso. An absolutely delicious Sangiovese from the southern region of Tuscany. At $20 it tastes like a young Brunello. Talking of which, that too is coming in this afternoon. Castello Tricerchi Brunello.

Also a few new wines that I have tasted lately and felt that now was as good a time as any to bring them in. Wines from the Loire producer, Francois Cazin and Domaine Chavet's Menetou Salon.

Later this week I should also receive more Coing St. Fiacre un-oaked chardonnay - lot of people like this wine. More of the Fableist wines, I hope, will be on that same truck. And talking of truckers, they are now our life-line. Give them a thumbs up when you see a trucker, they may just be delivering TP - you never know.

And remember, if you don't feel like coming in, we will deliver orders taken today, tomorrow morning. And if you are getting this e-mail but don't live in Rye, but your parents do, or a friend does, buy for them. We will deliver it for you!

Stay safe. Stay hydrated.
